Q: How do I decide if ADVANTAGE is the right spot for my family, my child or myself?
A: Hear from our heart first, we love people, especially families who want to provide a safe and exciting place for their children to grow and develop. We really believe in player development, we want to see players grow on and off the field as they fall in love with the game. We love incorporating core values into our coaching, and things like integrity, courage, and perseverance run hand in hand with the game of soccer. We love coaching with that in mind as those moments allow us to coach not just principles on the field but off it as well.
Q: What ages participate with ADVANTAGE ACADEMY?
A: ADVANTAGE is for ages 4-94. We love creating a fun and safe environment for children of all ages to come and play and enjoy the game. Our desire is to create a soccer culture that encourages and inspires people to continue playing and supporting the soccer community of Northwest Arkansas long after they can’t play themselves. So come play, watch, and take part in supporting those you love and meet some new friends along the way.
Q: What’s the heart behind player development?
A: We believe every player should have the opportunity to pursue the game to their highest ability and desire. We love seeing players grow and develop and so everything we do is filtered through the lens of seeing players move from point A to point B. We understand that soccer and life are not a sprint and so we want to teach players how to play, go watch them do it, and watch them learn little by little and day by day.
Q: Do you have any parent or player reviews?
A: Yes and we would love to hear from you. It’s our desire to continue to grow and develop as coaches and we love feedback. Our latest player reviews are here.
Q: Where will I be notified about rainouts and cancellations?
A: If you are signed up for classes or camps you will hear from us via email or direct text message. If you are involved in a league we will communicate with team captains directly and let them handle each of their teams.
Q: What is the expected attire for players?
A: We expect players to adhere to the laws of the game fully and without complaint. That means proper footwear for the surface you will be playing on, shorts, soccer socks, ADVANTAGE ACADEMY clothing or your team jersey, no jewelry. One last thing, come with a good attitude. When you show up be ready to play, be respectful to your teammates, referees and opponents, it’s a better environment for everyone. That’s what we ALL want. Help us make it happen.
Q: How do I get updates on future events, camps, leagues and lessons?
A: You can sign up here and we will send you updates about any future events or leagues.
A: ADVANTAGE Leagues generally will have 8 games total either in an 8 game league format or with league games and playoff games combining for an 8 game league.
Q: Where are games played ?
A: Our Northwest Arkansas community has some beautiful fields and space to play the beautiful game. We hope as we grow and connect with the community that we will have leagues available throughout Northwest Arkansas. Currently, we offer leagues and classes at Kessler, Lewis Soccer Complex, and we have an annual camp at the Jones Center.
Q: How often are practices and games played?
A: You will hear directly from an Advantage Academy Coach but generally speaking practices are once a week unless specified. Most games will be played on the once a week schedule with some weeks requiring two games due to weather or playoff bracket implications.
